about type_korean

type_korean was created to help people like me learn Korean through typing. When I moved to Korea in March 2024, I knew a little Korean, but I often struggled to look up words online because my typing speed was too slow. I didn't know where all the Korean keys were on the keyboard, and it was quite frustrating. That's when I had the idea: why not create a tool that helps people learn Korean while also learning how to type? That's how this little web app came to be.
